Our Pastor

Pastor Marshall Lee Gantt I, moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1954 from Hope, Arkansas.  He was baptized in the name of Jesus on February 21, 1954.  On February 25, 1954, he received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues under the leadership of Elder Jodie McVey-Pentecostal Light Church.

While under the leadership of Elder McVey, he held the office of Deacon and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent.  In July 1972, he married Erma Jean Gantt.   They have been married for 41 years in which three sons, Elder Marshall Gantt, II, Minister Kevin Gantt, and Bro Desmond Gantt were born to that union.   On March 9, 1975, he, along with Elder William Matthews founded the Apostolic Morning Light Church, in which, Elder Erven Govan became the Pastor in 1980.  

In 1987, the Gantt family became members of the Greater Emmanuel Grace Apostolic Church.  During this time, he served as a Head Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.  After 17 years of faithful and dedicated service, Pastor and Lady Gantt transitioned into their current church, Bethel Temple Apostolic Faith Church in which he serves faithfully as Pastor since 2004.  Pastor Gantt was ordained in July 2006 with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (P.A.W.), Mountain States Council.
